The Missing Link
This short documentary was made for Digital Foundations, 2008, at Carleton College. It investigates the missing link between apes and humans, it studies the life of a not-so-average college student, and it reveals the man behind the beard.
Severance
This assignment for Digital Foundations was to make a video profile of a building. The building is Severance Hall at Carleton College, and the song is “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin.
They Call Him Jabir
Here at Carleton College, there is an annual film-making competition called “DVDfest.” It’s kinda a big deal. This movie was made start to finish in two weeks, and stars Jabir Bin Mohd Yusoff, the national champion of judo in Singapore.
Pri Vetai: Private Eye
Tommy McCauley and I made a two-minute film for the first annual SPARKY competition. We were supposed to show the benefits of being able to access information for free over the internet. The film won second place in the competition.

The Private Eye
Film Racing is a nation-wide competition where teams are asked to make a movie from start to finish in a certain amount of time, incorporating a theme and a surprise element which they only find out at the beginning of the time slot. They have these in various cities across the country, then all the videos are pooled in a national competition. This video was made for the Minneapolis 2008 competition, where we had 24 hours to make a movie whose them was “Saving” and had “knocking on a door” somewhere. This is what we got.
